Trouble/Problem Description.
On this trouble lights are blinking on both Power LED and Error/Resume LED. Printer head is stuck in the middle and not moving when you turn the printer on. Sometimes it moves but stops in few seconds.
Do's to Identify & Locate the Trouble/Problem.
1. Check if the head is moving properly.
2. Open the front cover, take a look on the roller and other parts.
3. Check for broken parts.
I saw this when I opened the front cover. See image below.
Action Taken.
1. Remove the Ink Tank cover first see illustration below.
2. Remove the screws to unlocked the top cover.
After removing the screws and top cover. The printer will look like this, see image below.
You can now return the loose or misaligned roller back to its original place. Printer will still work even if the roller is missing but better to return or replace this roller so that paper in the future will not stuck. These rollers are important to prevent damage to the paper.
3. Return the top cover and screws.
4. Return the Ink Tank cover.
5. Testing the printer if the trouble is already fix. See below.
6. Print an image for customer proof. I always make a proof that I already printed something.
7. Wipe or clean the printer for additional handsome points. Cheers!
Hope this post will help you on your journey as a Tech. Thank you for reading this post.
