How To Repair Your Computer That Turns Off After A Few Seconds

This problem is likely to occur in desktop computers but not in laptops. This trouble is not usual to manifest in laptops. As, I have said this problem is unusual in laptops but possible will occur. So, today we will focus on desktop computers.
If you encountered this problem in the future you will know how to fix it. So, I will start with on how to identify this problem.

When we start our computer, after few seconds computer turns off. In my experienced with this computer trouble 2-5 seconds computer turns off, then you have to turn it back on. And the same thing happens when powering it on, computer turns off.
* What will be the possible part/s affected when this trouble happens? *
a. Power Supply
b. CPU Fan
c. Motherboard
d. Operating System
All these parts are suspect when this problem happens. So, which part usually failing?

Operating System - I think everyone knows what is an operating system. But if ever you don't know what is an operating system, example of this is Windows 98, Me, 2000, XP, 7, 8, 10, Linux & Unix. These are only few operating system that are common and well known.
Okay, Lets get back to the computer problem. If you have problem with operating system, the computer only restart but not turns off immediately.
If we have defective/damage motherboard, the system will also reboot or won't turn on.
For defective CPU fan, the system also turns off but not immediately.
The problem is in defective power supply. If the power supply has a problem with overheating or defective parts, it usually turns off immediately.
* How to solve this problem? *
Just replace the power supply, but be sure to double check if the power supply is the main problem or the motherboard. Because sometimes motherboard also become damaged if your power supply gets defective.
But in my experienced when system turns off immediately this problem always associated with defective power supply. Even if it is a newly assembled computer.
For laptops, you have to identify the problem or short in the power supply which cause the trouble. I cannot give you a specific part/s to pull out or to replace. It's up to you to discover what part/s to replace to solve this problem. I can only give you a tiny hint try to check if the power IC of you laptop is shorted.
